If you're thinking of getting an iPad 2, you're probably going to want a little protection for your new gadget. Apple's Smart Covers are probably one of the coolest accessories right now for the newly released iPad. It's innovative, it's stylish and it protects your iPad 2 screen from getting scratched. Unfortunately, these so called "smart" covers don't protect the iPad's aluminum back side, which is very prone to scratches. It also doesn't offer much in the mobility department, so I guess it really isn't that smart after all. While I was looking at several cases online for my iPad 2, I stumbled upon this nifty iPad accessory, the iTab Grip iPad grip case which offers protection as well as other neat features. Let's take a closer look on this product.
The iTab Grip is a clear protective case made of polymer which encloses the back and the sides of the iPad. What sets this iPad case apart from other iPad grip cases is that it's integrated with a rotating device at the back which allows the user to securely achieve full mobility while using the tablet. So basically, this iPad case works in two ways. It works as a cover to protect your tablet from scratches and dirt and it also works as an extension of your hand. It has a ring-like attachment at the back where you can slip your finger to hold the tablet. Once it's attached to your finger, it provides you with a secure hold which means you can move it around, swing it around, and even spin it around without the fear of dropping it. Well, I've tried it and my iPad is still in one piece. The iTab Grip is also made from polymer, not velcro, so it's more hygienic to use and you won't get itchy while using it. It also won't leave you those nasty velcro marks at the back of your hand.
What I also love about this iPad accessory is that you can use it alongside Apple's Smart Covers. That actually sealed the deal for me. I get to have a stylish front cover and I also get a cool back cover and ring grip. The iTab Grip grip case also offers a clear protective cover for the front screen. If you don't want to use Apple's Smart Cover, your screen is still protected from scratches because of the screen protector.
Price-wise, I think it's also a good buy. Some grip cases costs up to more than $300 so I think the iTab Grip case, given its nifty features, is affordably priced at $49.50 for the iPad 1 and $54.50 for the iPad 2.
I highly recommend iTab Grip iPad grip case to other iPad users. While it may not seem very practical for some, professionals who use the iPad for business and people who are always on the go who love to multitask could greatly benefit from it.
