Best iPad Alternatives - Five Close Competitors

Ever Since the iPad released by Apple, other companies have always been rushing to come up with products to compete with Apple iPad. Here are five such products which will arrive to the market later in this year that will go neck and neck with iPad. All These tablets feature multi-touch screens which are larger than the Apple iPad. They may not have the hype that iPad posses but they do posses similar or more features iPad brings.

1. 2goPC Slate -

This 2goPC Slate will be a standard netbook using an Atom processor by Intel, without the keyboard which is substituted by a multi touch screen. Multitasking is provided by Windows 7 which does not feature in iPad. Similar to netbooks, not like the Apple iPad, it includes a built-in Webcam. It only costs $499 which is incredible compared to iPad.

2. Adam -

The Adam uses NVIDIA's Tegra 2 graphic processor which is specifically produced for tablets as well as mobile devices. It also presented with a Dual Mode LCD which facilitates switching between color screen and a black and white mode. The other feature is while the backlight switched off, which is supposed to imitate the "e-ink" display of ebook readers such as the Amazon Kindle. The built-in camera inside the Adam can rotate towards user or away, hence, allowing you to shoot pictures.

3. ExoPC Slate -

Such as 2goPC Slate, deeper analysis of the technical specifications indicates this device will basically consider as a larger screen tablet having a touch screen instead of a keyboard. Although it lacks 3G feature, however it will have a more impressive screen and better resolution compared to iPad, and it will utilize Windows 7.

4. Gemini -

The list of features of the Gemini produced by ICD reads just like a desire list of just about everything you would ever require in your dream tablet. Similar to the Adam, it can churn out graphics along with a Tegra 2 chipset, and will also have the identical display size as well as resolution like the ExoPC Slate. It will even connect via 3G as well as Wi-Fi, including things you do not get from the iPad for example GPS, and a couple of cameras. You will even have the ability to produce mobile voice calls by using it. So it is like a big Smartphone for the users.

5. JooJoo -

Originally referred to as the CrunchPad but still the topic of an ownership argument between its designers, the JooJoo seemed to be the very first slate/neo-tablet about being released, even though in limited amounts only to people who pre-ordered it online. The JooJoo posses a sizable screen, yet an early evaluation faulted its software - developed using a customized edition of Linux. Fusion Garage expects to press up with a 3G edition. The initial Wi-Fi model of the tablet is also available for online pre ordering for just $499.

These are some of the upcoming tablets which mend to be close competitors with Apple iPad. It is up to the consumer to the make the correct decision.
