Introducing the iPad 2

Apple is not always the first company to introduce some new gadget to the world, but the company has mastered the art of doing it effectively. When the iPad first hit stores, people were lined up for miles to get their hands on one of them. Why did the same thing not happen when other tablets were first introduced? For whatever reason, the public seems to love Apple gadgets more than any other company, and now the latest craze is the iPad 2.

In typical Apple fashion, they have made improvement the original iPad that have people wondering why they did not wait until the second release before spending upwards of $500 on the original device. The latest release addresses concerns many of the iPad buyers expressed. The new iPad 2 will more than likely cause a flood of iPads to go up for sale on eBay as everyone will want to have the latest and greatest Apple has to offer.

The one glaring omission from the original iPad was the lack of a camera. With so many netbooks offering this option, everyone wanted to know why Apple chose to delete it. Not only did Apple add a camera to its iPad 2, there are now two of them. There is a rear-facing camera that is perfect for recording video, while the front facing camera offers the same features as the camera on the iPhone 4.

One of the latest crazes in laptops is custom shells, and the iPad 2 offers the same customization option for its users. The iPad 2 is only offered in black and white, but shells come in various pastels as well as standard colors. The covers attach magnetically to the device and are offered in both leather and polyurethane.

While all of the flash is good, the real concern is what is actually under the hood. Users had complained of slower operating speeds, and Apple addressed this by installing a dual-core A5 chip into the latest release. Games should now run quicker as well as multiple applications not making the computer come to a grinding halt. Battery time remains outstanding, with about 10 hours of usage coming from every charge.

Overall, Apple has made some very nice improvements to the second release of its iPad. While there are those of us that think the first edition was launched prematurely, there is no arguing that Apple seems to have gotten it right on the second try. Oddly enough, the new version is being offered at similar pricing to the original. This will more than likely have more than one iPad owner shaking their heads in disbelief and wondering why they simply could not wait another year to get the much-improved iPad 2.

Designing the iPad Wedding Album - Top Apps for Editing Photos on the iPad

Most photographers and iPad users may argue upon the use of the iPad as an editing platform. Wouldn't it be better to edit photos on a personal computer or Mac using a robust editing software than using the iPad apps?

Our counter argument would be that editing on the iPad is unmatched when it comes to quick and uncomplicated editing.

For all the apps, you need an image to work on. Some popular ways to get photos on your iPad:

1. Importing photos from camera or computer wirelessly or through USB cable

2. Downloading photos on to your iPad from your email

3. Tethering your iPad to your camera while shooting and using the stored photos

Once you have your photo, open those photos on the editing app and you are good to go.

Top Apps for editing and designing photos in the iPad

Photogene

By far one of the best photo-editing tools for the iPhone and the iPad, Photogene is no lite editing software. You can carry out series of editing at the touch of your hand. You can adjust the color saturation, sharpen the photos, add effects such as sepia or B/W, add/edit text, add borders, modify the color curve (not many apps offer this one) and even save the photo to the desired resolution. Double click to zoom and edit specific areas.

A reset button will take you back to the unaltered original image. You can share the photo on Twitter and Facebook or email it directly from the app.

PhotoPal

PhotoPal is one of the simplest full-fledged editing tools in the App Store. It is great for users who have never done any editing previously, but would like to turn the heat on with some experimentation. Some of the salient features are its red-eye removal tool, unwanted spot eraser and the de-noise tool (to get rid of the unwanted fuzziness).

The instant sharing on Twitter, Facebook and Flickr is another great addition on PhotoPal making it an all-in-one package for easy editing.

PixelMagic

PixelMagic can be counted as one of the top professional editing app developed for the iPad. It has features equivalent to a PC/Mac based photo editing software. There are 12 different category of tools, each harboring at least 10 more further options. The tool manager is fairly simple for such an advanced app, making the editing a joyous affair.

PhotoPad

PhotoPad was created specifically for the iPad. It comes with all the usual basic editing tools such as cropping, paint brush, paint bucket, rotate, image scaling, filters, color adjustments, and plenty more. Each of these can be adjusted further more to create custom effects.

However, the cons include: No option for sharing or email. The photos can be only in the photos folder of the iPad. In addition, you cannot set the aspect ratio or the pixel specification for the crop tool.

It is free and fantastic if you want a lighter editing app for your wedding photos.

Filterstorm

This app was developed by a photographer for editing on the go. This app has a clone tool, aspect ratio lockable crop tool, canvas adjustment tools (color, hue, b/w, scale, rotate, etc.) and a worthwhile collection of filters that makes it a powerful editing tool. As you edit the application creates a visual history of your edits. This makes it easier to undo your edits. Only drawback is, it was not created exclusively for the iPad and lacks the Apple feel.

How to Set Up Dual Monitors With Air Display and Your iPad

For awhile now, I have been in search of a way to have multiple monitors to display all the documents I need to run on my computer screen. To work in an efficient workspace means having a way to view multiple windows, browsers, files, with over stacking them. Being always on the go, I need a dual monitor setup for a laptop, but how?

With the Air Display app by Avatron software, I am finally able to create a workspace for efficient working. The Dual Monitor setup utilizes your computer and the iPad to work together. The iPad acts as a second screen. This extra display works for both Mac OS and Windows OS on any computer and you can use either on the iPad, for optimal usage, or even iPod touch and iPhone.

The setup is easy and you do not need any wires connecting the iPad to the computer. Air Display connects this extra monitor setup using a wireless connection. If there is no WIFI connection around, you can create a direct "ad-hoc" wireless connection from your computer to your iPad with no extra equipment to purchase.

This app can be used for almost anything. You can use device type applications or software on the iPad screen like Email, Instant Messengers, Calculators, and E-books. You are able to play flash on the iPad through Air Display because it is running through your operation system that should be running Flash Player.

It is an excellent display for programming usage; this extra display is a miracle for using development tools like debuggers, analytics, and checking results.

One cannot forget how useful this app is for Business. The app can be used for Office tools or Presentations to give clients that keen professional impression and appearance. The uses for Air Display is many and definitely my favorite iPad app.

Features:
An extra display for your computer Auto rotation for the iPad (Works in Landscape and Portrait) Touch sensors work for air display on iPad Compatible with Windows or Mac Easy to setup and easy to use The app is available for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch

How is it connected?

The Air Display connects your iPad or iPhone through a wireless connection. The connection must be connected using the same network in order to sync your iPad and computer together. For windows, you can see the Air Display icon on the bottom right corner of your computer. For Mac, you can view the Air Display icon near the top right on the Mac menu bar.

Setup and Installation Instructions:

First you need to download the app to your iPad.

Installation requires you to download the software for your computer. For Mac and Windows, open a browser and go to the Avatron website. This will ask you to download and install the software needed to run with the iPad app. Follow the instructions and you should always click "Always Trust Software", and "Continue Anyway."

Restarting your computer is the last step before launching the Air Display app. Once finished, launch your app and connect your iPad device with your computer using the Air Display icon in your Windows system tray or in your Mac Menu bar.

How do I adjust the settings?

You can adjust the settings through the System Preferences -> Air Display. It allows you to disable or enable touch input and you can adjust the display arrangement (Place the iPad screen to the right or left).

To arrange Displays on a Mac, go to System Preferences -> Displays -> Arrangement. For Windows, all of the settings are accessed through your Air Display icon located in your Windows system tray on the bottom right of your screen.

The Truth Behind The New Apple iPad 2

Apple seems to have done it again with the iPad. With its lightening speed, slender design and lightweight feel, this second generation tablet computer is truly a chip off the old block. And if you are looking to purchase an Apple iPad 2 soon, you should arm yourself with as much information on this product and what it can do for you as you can. The investment pays for itself well beyond the price. You will find out how the iPad has improved, what physical characteristics and features were added and some pros and cons about the product.

How has Apple improved on an original?

Apple designed the iPad 2 a lot thinner than the first version. It's light and easier to handle. Although I'm not an owner of version one, I have heard that one is a little bulkier and harder to handle. It's amazing at how Apple was able to get everything housed in such a tiny space. There is an improvement on graphics too, with this model. Gamers love the ability to take a picture with the system's camera, upload it and use it as a level giving it a personalized touch. iPad 2 also uses a A5 duel processing system which is really fast and with approximately 10 hours of battery life makes this an enjoyable and convenient addition to any electronic collection.

Less with More

The iPad 2 comes with two cameras. The front camera is used for video conferencing with FaceTime. Talk face to face with the push of a button and if you know anyone in the world who has a Mac, iPad 2, or iPhone 4 it's really nice. On the back, an HD video recorder and camera, but the camera does not come with flash. There also seems to be a significant improvement in the audio area with the speakers giving better sound quality.

Some Pros and Cons with iPad 2

Most of what has been said can be considered great reasons for considering purchasing the Apple iPad 2. And if those are not enough, this system also allows the user access to Google books, iBook, Nook and Kindle giving hours of reading enjoyment. But the iPad comes with some quirks that may or may not bother some users. For one, the iPad 2 does not have a dedicated SD card slot. This means that storage capabilities are limited or users have to tug extra extensions around. To get around all this, it is advised that users look at the 32 or 64 GB. Also, iPad doesn't support flash so if you are the kind of user who is used to Adobe Flash to view certain websites, this may be a determining factor. Compared to Android's product line of tablets which are cheaper in price and they can support flash. So if you find yourself waiting in long lines of retail outlets or waiting 3 to 4 weeks from ordering online, if you know what you want from your iPad tablet half your battle is over.

Advantages of Choosing the iPad Album Over the Traditional Wedding Album

Getting married soon? Congratulations! Have you given thought to your wedding album yet? If not, now is a good time to contemplate. Go digital and go green by choosing the iPad wedding album to cherish the special moments of your very special day in an equally special way.

Advantages of the iPad wedding album

The iPad gives you free reign on designing your album

Perhaps one of the biggest advantages of digital photos is that you can create and recreate your wedding memories in many different ways. You can design your own iPad wedding album, without having to compromise on the ideas owing to the fixed page size or fixed number of pages, etc. There is complete freedom to experiment and produce an album or slideshow of your choice.

However, there are couple of points you need to observe. Overcrowding one single page of the iPad with too many photos can be very unappealing. Thus, less is more when it comes to the iPad photo album.

"A CD/DVD serves the same purpose", you might say. However, a CD/DVD alone CANNOT give you the flexibility and ease of sharing your wedding photos and videos compared to a standalone iPad.

The iPad is lightweight

Weighing around 1.5 pounds (680 grams approx.), the iPad is lighter than the lightest laptops available in the market. The iPad2 is even lighter than the original iPad, weighing just 600 grams. This means, you can hold the device in one hand AND enjoy a cup of coffee with the other, snuggled with your newly wedded spouse, flipping through your photos at the touch of a finger.

You cannot possibly imagine doing the same with a traditional one, which weighs nothing less than 5 pounds. You could go in for a lighter traditional album. But then it is neither going to look classy nor last long. Thus, you just end up buying a bulky wedding photo album that you hardly ever go through again.

The iPad is portable

The apparent slim features of the iPad give it an edge over the traditional album. Being feather-light, you can take it everywhere you go to share the memories with friends and families. Carry your memories everywhere you go, be it at the airport or in the flight or when you miss your loved one.

Traditional wedding album's biggest drawback is that it is not easily portable. You either need to take special effort to transport it or call your friends and colleagues over to your house, to show the album. The 'hauling' dampens the joy of sharing.

The iPad gives you better viewing experience

The photos are brighter, the videos are just a touch away and the clarity on the close up photos is amazing. Unlike the bulky photo book, where the viewer lingers over a single page with too many photographs for a long time without actually paying attention to any of the photos, the iPad presents the viewer with lesser photos to view at a given point of time. Thus, every photo gets its due attention. The viewing is definitely quicker in this device.

The iPad also offers convenience in terms of usability. The viewer does not need to wade through hundreds of other photos to arrive at the favorite one. The one they like the most is just a touch away, all the time.

iPad and Accessories - Now Used in the Care Giving Industry

Caregivers are using iPads for managing their daily tasks. Caregivers can use apps, photos, videos and more to keep track of medical records, health concerns, medicine, and appointments. This new technology is making the task of being a caregiver easier and more manageable. The iPad is light weight, compact and the portability is a much needed relief to those that care for others. Being able to have all documentation needed for appointments; helps to ensure that the person receiving care can have all information present at every meeting, appointment and service call. The person receiving care is actively taking part in their care.

iPads and Caregiver Support

Since the inception of the iPad caregiver support has become a more functional and manageable task. This is evident when seeing the decrease in stress related illnesses that occur when caregivers take on too many responsibilities and do not have the tools to properly perform those tasks. File management allows the caregiver to have peace of mind while keeping organized. Communication between caregivers and specialists is more effective and helps to ensure excellent care to the individual.

iPads and Caregiver Management

Apple is highlighting a number of apps catering to individuals with special needs and those that care for them. These apps make it possible for caregivers to manage the records and files needed daily. Medication Administration Records or MAR's as they are often called; are records of the medications given daily, the dose of the medication, how often it is given and when it is administered. These records are vital to the health of individuals with special healthcare needs. There are also applications that can help manage files such as medical records (scanning them and storing them), videos for recording data such as reactions to medication, business card scanners for quick storage of doctors and pharmacies information and vital statistic of the individual.

Finding the right app for your care giving needs is as simple as clicking a button on your iPad. There are many free applications that will help you record, store and share data. Some applications cost but the investment is priceless and most donate a percentage of the cost to charities that help caregivers and individuals with special needs. The technology offered by iPads and iPods help ensure caregivers stay on track. Without these devices the life of a caregiver is more stressful and less productive. Choose to use the technology grants offered by companies that support caregivers if you feel you can't afford the technology.

Best Bluetooth iPad Keyboard For The iPad 2 In The Office

Finding the best Bluetooth iPad keyboard for your iPad 2 is much harder than you would first imagine, purely because there are so many alternatives on the market. If you have a look on Amazon right now, you'll be presented with hundreds of pages of products, each of which possessing different features. Now, on the one hand, this is a nice thing because you're left with a lot of choice, but on the other hand, it makes your task of choosing just one incredibly difficult.

After going through this tedious experience myself, I finally found one product that excelled itself in its specs beyond all of its competition. The Zaggmate Bluetooth iPad keyboard is probably the most sleek iPad 2 accessory on the market, being an aluminium case with a built-in keyboard, yet only adding a quarter inch to the size of your iPad. Naturally, this is just a small bonus, but when you consider how chunky some of the leather keyboard cases can be, the Zaggmate just floors them every time in keeping things portable.

So, let's start by looking at the case itself. Now, you might be a little concerned that a metal case might be a little heavy and not so good for carrying around in your bag, but that's where you'd be wrong. You see, the Zaggmate is made of aluminium, which is an incredibly light metal that still possesses all the strength of metal, just without the added weight. This means that your tablet will be totally protected, no matter what knocks and bumps come your way.

Now let's move on to the Bluetooth iPad keyboard - the main pull factor that persuaded me to invest in the Zaggmate in the first place. Now, after using the touchscreen keyboard, I was getting increasingly frustrated with how inaccurate it could be when I was trying to get down some notes quickly. Even after just a few pages of notes, I'd be looking back over what I just wrote to find countless spelling mistakes and auto-corrections that needed editing before I could move on. Naturally, spending hours doing proof-reading is the last thing you want when you're working, which is why the Zaggmate Bluetooth iPad keyboard was such an eye opener.

With the Zaggmate iPad keyboard equipped, my typing accuracy was at an all time high, seeing no more mistakes occurring than I encountered on my desktop PC. On top of that, the additional shortcut keys improved my speed and efficiency of my document creation, along with improving my iPad 2 experience when I wasn't typing. You will really feel the difference in having the Zaggmate's physical keyboard there in front of you, allowing you to be way more confident with your typing and removing the need to proof-read altogether.

All in all, if you're using your iPad 2 for serious typing purposes, the Zaggmate Bluetooth iPad keyboard is the only way to go.

Top Five Must-Have iPad Accessories

You have finally purchased an iPad, but still you feel as if there is something missing. As you look at this gadget, you realize that it looks stale and bare. A grin begins to form while it dawns on you what's missing. And that's the accessories that come along with it.

See what the top five essential must-have accessories for your iPad is.

1. Screen Protectors

The screens of your iPad is prone to scratches, hence the importance of screen protectors. You can't even protect them from yourself since you always touch it with your fingers and you may have long fingernails, especially the ladies. Screen protectors are there to preserve the way your gadgets look from the start and to avoid the user to become frantic at the sight of scratches on their precious valuables.

2. Cases

Because you don't want dirt, smears, dust or anything like these to rest on the exterior of your devices, you might consider getting a case for them. These micro matters might just enter even the smallest opening of your devices and might cause a temporary, or even worse, permanent malfunctioning of your devices. Also, cases act like shock absorbers and may spare it from future faults.

3. Dock Protector

Moisture damage can be a serious problem especially for those who live in humid climates. Electronics can sometimes have many problems due to tropical temperatures in island nations and other locations in the southern hemisphere. If you have recently purchased an iPad, you should consider purchasing a dock protector for your device. Many people do not realize that this is an essential accessory for your iPad due to the fact that if moisture gets into your iPad it can cause serious damage including corrosion of metal parts and the growth of fungus inside of your device. A dock protector will keep moisture and dust out of your iPad so you don't run the risk of voiding your warranty or end up with an iPad that stops functioning correctly.

4. Camera Connection Kit

In this age of modernization, almost all people have Facebook accounts and want to share as much as possible all of their travels and faces with everyone. Since the mantra for today is click here and click there, a camera connection kit is advisable for everyone who owns an iPad. Also, the iPad still lacks the camera feature and this further stresses the need to have a camera connection kit. It enables you to view, store and edit your fresh photos quickly. You can also upload your videos using the kit. Standard photo formats like JPEG and RAW are supported by iPad.

5. iPad Dock

If you are looking for one major accessory that can do a lot of things, then the dock is what you are looking for. With an iPad dock, there is an easy access for syncing your devices to your laptop computer. You can also use it to hold them up while charging their respective batteries up. If you are a music lover, you can use the dock to connect your devices to powerful speakers to enhance your music experience. Other accessories are also supported by the dock like the following: iPad dock connector to VGA adapter and the iPad camera connection kit. The dock is like the ultimate of the iPad accessories so it is the ultimate must-have.

You now know what the first five must-haves are for your devices. Invest in them first before trying to venture into the other trendy accessories.

How to Protect Your iPad: Tips

After having spend, more or less, $500 on your new iPad, you also should make the additional investment of protecting it appropriately. The selection available is huge, and ranges from simple screen protectors over full body shields to proper iPad cases. The right protection solution not only helps to keep your iPad safe from harm, but can also be considered a fashion statement. But what is the right choice? Read on and I talk you through the different iPad protection solutions available on the market:

Screen Protector

Perhaps the simplest solution, great if you only need to protect your new iPad against greasy finger prints and the like. The more advanced models will also protect the screen against scratches and more aggressive stains. A screen protector offers close to no protection against falls and bumps. Best for careful users, that want to keep their gadget good looking, but don't put it habitually in any danger.

Full Body Shield

The next step up, this special film protects your whole tablet computer against stains and scratches without changing the look of it at all. The appliance of it can be a bit tricky, but the protection achieved is well worth the effort.

iPad Cases

The most complete solution, especially if you choose a fully rugged, rubber iPad case. Some of these cases come with a stand, to make reading and using it even easier, others without one, for a more flat storage. Which type of iPad case you choose depends entirely on where you use your iPad mostly. If you take it for example on an archaeological dig like in Pompeii, you might want to chose a more rugged variety, that gives maximum protection to your gadget and the data recorded with it.

Waterproof iPad Cases

You will need one of these, if you use your tablet computer frequently in moist (think rainforest) or wet (think near the swimming-pool) environments. Also practical if you use it to look up recipes whilst cooking, as the steam in a kitchen can do real damage to electronic equipment and fat and grease stains would be difficult to remove from the computer itself.

Summary

What kind of iPad case or protection you need, depends on where you use your handheld computer most. Choosing the right one for your needs, avoids not only damage to your expensive equipment but makes also sure that it lasts for a long time. Saving on the case, after you have spend a considerably sum of money on the gadget itself, would be foolish and short-sighted to say the least.

Publish A PDF On iPads

With the iPad taking the market by storm, it is now the turn of iPad publishing software. The iPads are perhaps the most desirable piece of technology to come out lately. Their versatility in the ways in which we can use them is just being explored. The publishing software is a great example of how iPad publisher can revolutionize the way we advertize and interact with people. As we all know iPads are primarily eBook readers. They allow people to read print in digital format. Until now, people only used to think that someday these readers would be for books and other materials in PDF format. And, a new function of advertizing in this manner has now come about, thanks to various iPad publishing software.

What This Software Helps Us Do

This software does not represent any high-end technology but is great because of the resourcefulness and innovation it exhibits. The iPad publishing software allows us to bring advertisements, brochures, and other such circulation material to the iPad.

This is a brilliant idea because of the increasing popularity of iPad. Already so many people own one, and in the future, many more people will. This means you have billboards all over the place to your name; all that is left to do is to put up the advertisements.

Apart from advertizing, many other things like magazines, brochures, newspapers, directories, and catalogs too can easily be available on an iPad. This software is a boon not just for advertising but also for other things. The advantage of using this software lies in the fact that nowadays digital media has a far greater reach than print media or other channels.

The Advantages

It is a fact that digital media is available to a larger demographic than any other form of media. If you make a digital version using iPad publishing software, you can also put this version online. This means higher visibility. Once you make an iPad PDF format, you can put it up either free or for a cost on the App Store.

The next thing is the amount you will save on the cost. Creating a digital format and circulating it will cost a fraction of what you will have to dish out if you get your media printed. You will also be able to design and structure your catalog without thinking about cost restraints. With actual printing, you need to think about printing costs of different designs and styles. In digital media, you can be as creative as you want.

One more bonus advantage is that this method is totally environment-friendly. Many companies who care about environment are switching to this method solely for this purpose.

As far as the designing for iPad publishing, you have the choice of doing it yourself or getting professional designers do it for you. You will find that many companies have specific apps that allow you to design your own iPad PDF.

Another thing is that iPad publishing software does not only create PDFs for the iPad. You can use the same version and send it via e-mail or put it up on the web.

Top Case and Notable Features of the Apple iPad 2

The creation of the first iPad made many consumers think that there would never be a tablet that would rival it. Nearly a year after the release of the iPad, Apple announced the release of their second tablet computer, the iPad 2. Although it is hard for other tablet creators to compete with the iPad many it is a known fact that only Apple can create something that is better. That is what Apple has done with their second tablet; they have created a product that is faster, more durable and has a better battery life than their previous product.

One of the most important aspects of the release of the iPad 2 is that, while it is similarly sized to the original iPad, users will not be able to use their old cases with their new product. That means manufacturing companies will be able to make cases for the iPad 2. One of the most important accessories to purchase is an Apple iPad 2 screen protector. This may not enhance the overall image, but it will protect a person's rather pricy investment. Having an iPad with a scratched screen is almost unbearable and it is quite hard to enjoy it after it is ruined.

One of the top Apple iPad 2 accessories that can be bought is the Apple iPad 2 case. So far, with the release of the product being so recent, there are just a few different quality cases that can be purchased. The iPad Smart Cover is one of the first Apple cases to be released. This cover is designed for the front of the product only and will clean the screen while protecting it at the same time. The material that this accessory is made from is microfiber cloth that is usually used is many cleaning cloths. A case like this also has a feature well it will place the iPad into sleep mode when not in use. This means that the user will not have to worry too much about energy as the case will help it conserve more of it.

Accessories are not the only different thing about the new version of this magnificent tablet. The most obvious change that users will notice is that the iPad now contains a front facing camera. The second camera will allow Facetime to feel more realistic. It is a much friendlier and satisfactory way of communicating with their loved ones.

Overall, the iPad 2 is much more complete product than the original iPad. Although many will feel that many of the new features should have been included in the original version, consumers will not complain much as they can now take full advantage of them. It appears that Apple is the only company that can create a tablet that will rival or better their previous inventions. Remember that the only way to keep that screen looking crisp and clean is through an Apple iPad 2 screen protector.

How to Find and Play Multiplayer Games on Your iPad

To purchase iPad games you can either purchase them on your iPad through the App Store, or you can browse for apps on your computer's iTunes Store. A quick tutorial on how to use the App Store is as follows:

You can Tap "Categories," then Tap "Games" to browse the collection of iPad games. The App Store will provide sample screens as well as a developer provided description. You can tap the spot light to learn more.

You can browse the New & Noteworthy titles to see what new games have appeared.

The App Store provides a list of the top selling apps. Tap the "Top charts" button at the bottom of your iPad screen. Tap the Categories button in the menu bar and choose Games to see the bestselling titles as well as the most popular free games.

You can Tap the Search box in the upper-right corner and type in keywords for a specific type of game ("pin ball") or game title ("Scrabble"). When you find a game that piques your interest, buying it just takes a couple taps on the price button.

To play an iPad game after you installed it; just tap the game icon on your iPad's home screen. If you are new to this game and unfamiliar with the rules, most iPad games have a button in the opening screen with directions. This is often called "Info" or "How to Play." Most popular games have a forum or website created by the developer or loyal fans providing tips, cheats, and directions on to play your game.

Multiplayer Games:

Many games allow for multiple players. You can play with someone on another iPad through Bluetooth or your wireless connections. Depending on your game, you will have to configure your Bluetooth settings or play over an internet connection. If you are playing with a friend over a Bluetooth connection, first make sure your Bluetooth connection is turned on both your iPads. The next step is to discover each person's device. Have your friend make their iPad discoverable. Next you need to go to your iPad's Bluetooth settings in your Settings panel. To do this on your go to your iPad's homescreen, tap "Settings," then tap "General," and tap "Bluetooth" on the right hand panel. Look for your friend's iPad and tap on it. Now pair the two devices.

Multiplayer games connected by an internet connection have their own protocols. Each game will have directions posted normally in the "Help" or "How to Play" sections.

You can find multiplayer games on your iPad by visiting the iPad store. Simply type "multiplayer" in the search bar.

How to Sync Books With iTunes and Add Other eBooks to Your iPad

You can sync iBooks on your iPad with your computer by using iTunes. First you have to open iTunes and connect your iPad to your computer. This allows you to transfer books purchased on iBooks to your iPad. The benefit of doing this is to keep a backup copy of your book on your computer just in case it's deleted on your iPad.

1) On iTunes select "File"

2) Select "Transfer Purchases from iPad"

One of benefits of storing books on your computer is the increased flash drive space on your iPad. If you are voracious reader and have a large eBook collection, you can save iPad drive space by offloading books you have read onto your desktop hard drive.

1) Click on your iPad name in the left hand panel (i.e. iTunes Source List).

2) Click the "Books" tab in the main iTunes panel.

3) You now have the option of syncing your entire book collection or choosing selected titles. If you only want to off load a few books on the iPad, click the "Selected Book" icon.

Saving other eBooks to your iPad.

Your iPad can also read other types of eBooks. Everything does not have to be purchased through iTunes. iBook uses the ePub format for digital books. Your iPad can read any type of ePub book from various online sellers. Books in ePub format will have the .epub file extension. A great source of eBooks is from Google Books and Project Gutenberg ( http://www.gutenberg.org ). Project Gutenberg is a great source for free, ePub encoded books. Many of the classic works and many non-copyrighted books can be found here.

To add ePub books and.pdf files:

1) In iTunes click "File"

2) Click "Add to library"

3) Once the file is added, hit "sync"

4) iTunes will not load your eBook onto your iPad. You will find those files in the iBook app.

Amazon Kindle & Barnes & Noble Nook

For those who have an Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble Nook, you can read those eBooks on your iPad by downloading the free Kindle and Nook readers from the App Store. With the Kindle and Nook, you will find many free books but you will have to pay for most contemporary publications.

You can also read many online books offline by using a an off line page saving app. We suggest getting Instapaper. With Instapaper you can read your favorite webpages offline. The iPad app allows you to save websites and webpages for later reading. One of the major benefits of using Instapaper over other apps of the same variety is Instapaper's integration with other apps. Because Instapaper has become the most acclaimed app in its category, over 135 other iOS apps support Instapaper. Instapaper does more than just save webpage for future reading. It does it very smoothly and smartly. To optimize for iPad or iPhone screen dimensions, Instapaper removes most of the ads and unnecessary content. Instapaper also allows you to customize the font and the type size of your saved web pages.

CES iPad Killers' Showing Off: Will It Work Against The iPad 2?

The requirements maybe a bit stricter be at the front of this prestigious geek event, but we have many other ways to have a glimpse of the last CES in Las Vegas last week. As all gadget loving people know, CES or International Consumer Electronic Show is probably the largest and the most significant event for anyone who would like to get a glimpse on what's coming the gadget community and the last trade show seems to be portraying a rather obvious them; and that is iPad Killers!

There are a variety of apps and add ons for the iPad and iPhone in the CES, noticeably some apps that turns your iPad to a portable blood pressure machine, then there's this pretty nifty app where you can actually manipulate golf balls with miniature machines inside using the touch screen and blue tooth. If this was not your fancy, you can check out some other accessories like the solar power iPad protector and many other oddities for gadget lovers.

And for show off, we have really felt the presence of major companies here showing off their muscles in preparation for the upcoming release of iPad 2 which is tentatively scheduled on March 2 by none other than Steve Jobs himself. Microsoft, Panasonic, RIM, Lenovo, Sony, Motorola are all present and have given the attendees a glimpse of what they worked on to at least capture some of the market that Apple has continuously dominated since the release of their tablet last 2010. The only question is, will their designs be enough to match that of the upcoming new version of the iPad that Apple has cooked up?

There's the PlayBook from RIM, for Motorola it's the XOOM that has a dual processor that runs on the new Andriod HoneyComb OS, Lenovo IdeaPad, and many more so called iPad killers. Most of them brandishing one of their most prominent tablet product feature and that is the front and back facing camera. But to answer all of this, rumor has it that the new Apple iPad will also have 2 cameras, will be much faster with an enhanced A5 processing chip. And from our sources, it is rumored that Apple will retain the same price and 10 hour battery life of the previous iPad!

In the UK, iPad 2 insurance is already something that customers are already searching for and even if the new iPad hasn't hit the stores yet, iPad 2 insurance is already ranking its way, suggesting a definite demand when the new version is released. For sure the major companies have done their best to try to match Apple, and in CES this was very clear. But will it have its desired effect when the time comes? That is something to see indeed.

New iPad Tablet 64GB 3G Reviewed

The beauty of Apple's new iPad Tablet 3G 64GB model is its sheer ease of use. Anyone familiar with the iPhone 4 iOS will breeze through without needing to read a word of operating instructions. That's because the touch screen is extremely responsive and the iOS operating system is as intuitive as The Buddha.

I purchased my iPad Tablet 3G in the lead up to Christmas, 2010, as a gadget reward for having worked so hard throughout the year in the IT field. But man was I wrong! This mobile electronic device is definitely no gadget. It's a blimmin' masterpiece of electronic engineering.

3G versus WiFi

First, the 3G networking means you can connect the iPad to any major cell phone network for communications and data transfer. That's a huge plus on having just a wireless WiFi version of the new iPad. Sure, you can get wifi connection at a McDonald's restaurant or a Starbucks coffee shop but what if you want to use your iPad in Central Park, New York City, out in frozen Alaska or on the warm golden sands of Long Beach, California? The 3G connection would supply you data just as it does for a normal cell phone or a smartphone.

10 hour Battery Life

If battery life then becomes your concern with extended portability of the very mobile iPad, then this reviewer can evaporate your deepest fears. My own tests of battery life showed a reliable 10 hours of light to moderate usage. Other reviews at Amazon.com, for example, have reported that 12 hours can be obtained from these lithium ion batteries. That should come as welcome news. You can indeed now take your picnic in Central Park, NYC.

The Large iPad Tablet Screen

The touch screen is sensitive and its larger size is a distinct advantage over the Apple iPhone 4. No longer will users need to squint and take several attempts to click a tiniest of tiny text links on a mobile web page. High resolution display means you've got a quality view of photos and videos, games and electronic books. It is an eye resting experience rather than an eye-straining user experience.

Talking of the iPad Tablet's video performance, it's full HD or high definition as in modern television with LCD color qualities. You can record video and upload your home grown movies to YouTube.com and to Facebook with surprisingly little effort.

Specialized Apps for iPad

Just a final word about Apple iTunes App Store for the new iPad Tablet 3G. The 'apps' - meaning software programs, are now specialized for the iPad device so as to fit the larger pixel dimensions of the viewing screen. Functions are broader than what can be done merely using a mobile cell phone. The iPad is something else. It's a big evolutionary step towards touch screen convergence and integration and this reviewer, an IT professional and entrepreneur decisively awards 5 stars for one truly outstanding mobile product, the brilliant new iPad Tablet from Apple Computer Corporation.

Have You Properly Protected Your iPad With a Protective Case?

You have a new iPad that you are very proud of but have you stopped to consider what would happen if the touch screen of your iPad were badly scratched, or worse still you damaged your iPad beyond repair? You would be devastated and no doubt angry at yourself for not taking the time to research and spend a relatively small amount of money to protect your iPad from the daily knocks and bumps associated with every day living. Remember, your iPad is a mobile device that can be taken anywhere, at any time so that you can remain productive all day, every day. The opportunity to damage your iPad exists everywhere.

Protecting your iPad need not be a difficult or expensive task

You are basically looking to protect two areas of your device; the first area that needs protecting is the touch screen. The touch screen on the iPad has a relatively large surface area (this is its main appeal, after all!) and its use is integral to the design and functionality of the iPad. Without the touch screen your iPad is basically useless. Invest in a properly designed screen protector that has been made from high quality materials. One of the most respected manufacturers of screen protectors is InvisibleSHIELD. Whilst their screen protectors are generally more expensive than most the protective qualities are second to none.

The second way to protect your iPad is with a case. Depending upon your lifestyle you may elect to purchase a leather or moleskin pouch instead. When selecting a case make sure that it is strong and sturdy; there are many iPad cases available that whilst they look good offer very little in the way of protection. A cheap case is usually a waste of your money - select one that has been manufactured by a well known and respected brand such as Casemate or Otterbox and you can rest assured that your iPad is being given the very best in protection.

Do Not Cut Coners When Protecting Your iPad

Trying to save a bit of money when buying your iPad by not purchasing screen protection and a case is likely to lead to large repair bills in the future. Don't cut corners, spend the extra money by buying well known brands that invest their time and money researching, testing and developing products that will look after your iPad whilst you go about your day to day activities.

The Astonishing iPad - What Can't It Do?

The astounding iPad from Apple is used in many different ways and that is what makes it so convenient to loads of different types of people. You can choose from thousands of programs to do all sorts of things that make the iPad such flexible device.

Many people say about the iPad that it is so simple and easy to use that their granny could use it. This assertion is all about someone being so technologically challenged but anyhow being able to pick up an iPad and utilise to do what ever they want to do. Many times these sort of users are the ones that only do the elemental things with their computer, but that is not always the case. So we have people, that just like to look at their email and do a bit of surfing, perhaps write a tiny document once in a while. The iPad is a super solution for this group of computer users.

Then there is the other end of the gamut of the iPad consumer base that wants to use the iPad to do either expert work or seriously play with it and will hunt down all the applications that will do what they crave it to do. It could be for attaching a guitar or a keyboard and learning to play an instrument, or being able to increase what the instrument can do I terms of mixing the sounds with a mixer or adding a software wah wah or a reverb pedal. So that is the play end of the gamut but then there is the work that can be done, starting with the presentation, database, spreadsheet and writing softwares that are just a scrap of the huge list of productivity applications available.

One of the places that is popular for iPad users, is to use while sitting on the sofa viewing the TV. Very easy to go into the IMDB application and see information about the actor or actresses in the film you are following. Perhaps there is a football match on and you don't want to miss what is happening, but you have to put the final touches to an article, or the last few workings in a spreadsheet. The iPad is just the job for this class of use.

The iPad also becomes a viewing tool for television, movies, video podcasts, it is really agreeable to be sitting in bed viewing the newest movie that is being streamed in from your desktop computer using a program like Zumocast or Airvideo. If you get bored with the movie you can just quit that and switch to reading a book instead. It is terrific to have something that covers so many pursuits rather than an appliance that only allows you read a book for example.

Games, of course are really all the rage on the iPad and there are tons of grades of difficulty in the differing games. You can have something that is not so formidable that you might play with while in the queue in the bank. There again, there are games that will have you entertained for hours at a time, as you strive to complete all the levels. One game that is popular is the one with angry birds that you have to launch into structures, very easy. Another small game for the iPad, you have to land the airplanes on a few different airports and air strips without colliding them. That one starts simple but promptly has you shouting out for help.

Acase Vintage Leather Case for iPad Review

We have seen many products from AE Tech in the coming weeks but mainly products for the iPhone. Today I have a review of AE Tech's iPad Case 'The Vintage Leather', lets see what it's all about shall we.

I was impressed with AE Tech's 'Superleggera Fit Case' for the iPhone 4 so this will be truly interesting. The design of the case is very nice and similar to the portfolio style of many other iPad cases. The thing that really stood out was the fact that the case didn't smell all chemically when first opened this is because it is made of real leather unlike most iPad cases due to cost.

This has it's good and bad points, the first one is that real leather sweats and this is no exception when it's really hot this thing conducts a vast amount of heat which doesn't happen with fake leather. You also kill a cow somewhere along the line which is never good. The positives things about this are that it will out last most fake leather cases. The plastics ones just wear away at some point and are easier damaged and cut. This case is going to be hard to cut and damage due to it being real lather and I know a lot of you out there love real leather cases because of this.

The exterior is padded well and hasn't flattened out with my two weeks of constant use. The front of the case has no real design elements except for the leather textures. On the back it's identical to the front with the exception of this nice little piece of stripy elastic, I originally thought this was for designs purposes only but I later found some real uses for it. You could wrap the other side of the case around when using your iPad but the one use I thought of which I think many may adopt is you could strap this around a car seat head for watching TV Shows and movies.

This doesn't use Velcro or magnets for entrance instead it uses a button keeping that vintage feel alive. I have to say that the button was a bit of a nuisance at first but I just got used to it and it then became second nature. On the inside we are greeted with a nice swede finish all over which is fantastic because it doesn't scratch the iPad when going in and out. To hold your iPad in, the case has two elastic straps which you put over the left hand side of the iPad and the rest of the iPad is tucked into a piece of extruding leather on the right. Because of the elastic the iPad is held in really well and tightly which is always a good thing, there is no chance of your iPad falling out whatever you try to do with it.

Another nice feature is the built in stand. We've seen this on some other iPad cases and it's excelled here. Inside the case on the left there is a surrey of four stoppers which you can tuck the right hand side of the case into and then your iPad is standing up. The four different stoppers offer great angles and with the weight of the iPad in the case you can type away without worrying whether it will fall back onto another stopper.

The functionality is also great you have access to the 30pin dock connector and speaker, you have access to the sleep and wake button and also you have access to the volume rockers. So you can use all the exterior functions of the iPad while in the case which is good and it does the job well.

Overall I was really impressed with this case. It looks great, the functionality is all here and it will protect your iPad from most drops because of the fantastic build. It's one of the best iPad cases of the portfolio/ book style you can buy. The price isn't too bad considering all your getting but if the price of $32.99 puts you of, AE tech offer some other iPad cases at lower prices but they don't all have the functionality of this but they do come in some different colors.

Apple's iPad: No Fun for Small Biz

I'm not a big fan of change. I've lived in the same city all my life. I go to the same supermarket every week. I read the newspaper every day. I drive non-hybrid American cars (thank God). I watch 60 Minutes every Sunday. And I think the Who looked just fine at the Super Bowl, O.K.?

I don't like change in my personal life. And much of the time, I hate it when things change in my business-especially when that change lessens productivity and boosts my costs.

Which is why I'm not especially happy about the imminent release of the Apple (AAPL) iPad. It seems like a really cool device. Apple does a great job innovating new products. I love my iPod. My first computer was a Macintosh. My kids love their Macbooks. I get it. Apple is a great company with a history of great products.

The iPad may become another great product-for consumers. Not businesses. Apple admits this. It and AT&T (T), which will provide the wireless connectivity for the iPad in the U.S., are targeting the iPad to at-home users.

Not Seeing the Limitations

Yet for me, as a small business owner who sells software and related consulting services, the iPad is destined to become a pain in the rear. Some of my clients are already talking about buying one. So are some of my employees. They'll start using it at home. Then they're going to want to bring their toys to work.

Clients are going to ask me why I don't recommend it for their business. My employees are going to get frustrated when I tell them to leave their iPads at home. They're all going to call me names and accuse me of living in the Dark Ages. A few of them will probably make fun of my height, too, just like they did when I pooh-poohed netbooks. They'll see everyone else playing with those iPads, and they'll also want one. But they won't understand its limitations.

Fun as it may be, the iPad will have its own unique support issues. And my 10-person company barely has the resources to support our existing devices-the PCs, Macs, Research In Motion (RIMM) BlackBerrys, the iPhones, the netbooks, etc. So when some employee of mine insists on using his new iPad and then runs into a printing issue or a connection problem, I'm going to have to step up and help him so he stays productive. Which means I'm going to have to incur yet more costs with my IT firm. The upshot: I'll be paying them to learn how to support the new iPad, because they'll be just as clueless. This won't be fun.

Security Headaches

It won't be fun for my clients, either, when they find problems running the applications we sell on their iPad. And it's not like my company sells some type of unknown propriety software. We sell well-known products such as Intuit's (INTU) Quickbooks and Microsoft's customer relationship management product. My technicians struggle with these programs, as good as they are, to work on Windows PCs, let alone all the other technology that our clients want to use.

Oh boy, and then there's security. Super-now we have yet another way for users to access data on their networks. As if we don't have enough portable devices to do this already. And because users will be so swept away with the awesomeness of watching an episode of Lost on their iPad, they'll be angry with me when they find out that someone got into one of the databases we support using an iPad and-gasp-lost their information. They'll say things like, "How could you let this happen?"

Maybe I'm being a little extreme here. Business owners like me can put up with some degree of change. We're cool with Ellen Degeneres being on Idol. We're O.K. with ice hockey games played in Fenway Park. And we can deal with the iPad's device issues. The software compatibility problems. The security risks. This is the world we live in. But to a business owner, there is a line in the sand. And that's Return on Investment. Even if there were no other issue with it, the most important reason I can't justify the iPad for my employees, or my clients' employees, is that there's no ROI.

Boring is Better

For the same price as an iPad, users can get a boring little laptop. I know, I know. It's not as good for streaming The Twilight Saga. And that chilling YouTube Worst Office Freak Out video doesn't seem as compelling. Boo hoo.

Because with that boring laptop, you'll have compatibility with most business software. In fact, right now the iPad only lets you install software from the Apple Store (but I'm sure that'll change in the future). With a boring laptop running boring Windows, you'll have USB ports. And replaceable batteries. And a full-size keyboard. You'll have a broader network of support from boring business partners that have years of experience with similar devices (which is why they're so boring). And you'll have more options for securing data going back and forth between your employees and your database, which contains boring business things like orders, invoices, and payroll.

O.K., so the iPad really won't reduce any costs in my business. Can we justify its business ROI through increased employee productivity? Ha! You try using one of those things for a few hours and then tell me how much actual work you accomplished. It's just too damn fun.

So here comes the iPad. And another headache for small business owners. It's just more change. Boy, do I hate change.

Free Apple iPad - Learn The Legitimate Method to Get The Latest iPad for Free

Receiving a free Apple iPad seems so unbelievable. Nowadays, there are lots of free iPad offers on the internet. These free stuff offers are promotional schemes of some companies which are very much tempting to consumers. With the status of the global economy, you can in fact expect much acceptance from the public. But is this really true? If yes, what is the reason why companies would give out such pricey products free of charge? Let's face it, a brand new iPad cost roughly $500 and it's really hard to think why companies would give a number of units for free. So what is really the motive behind these free iPads? And what are the ways to acquire such offer?

Why do some companies give out expensive products for free?

I guess the main reason for this isn't really that difficult to comprehend. Why do companies do business in the first place? It is primarily to gain profit, right? So it all boils to one, companies provide costly giveaways to generate more income by gathering essential opinions and feedbacks to improve their products. You see nothing is really free nowadays. Free Apple iPads are given to actual consumers in exchange for their comments and suggestions regarding the product. This method is called "product testing". Companies like Apple employ a market research company which will take charge in the distribution of the iPad giveaways and the collection of feedbacks from the recipients.

The feedbacks provided by the product testers (all the recipients of the free Apple iPad), aid the company in making improvements and releasing enhanced version of the unit. This scheme is no doubt an intelligent way of ensuring production of sellable products. In addition to that, it will be easier for them to manufacture products that would meet people's wants because they only have to apply the attributes that actual customers asked for.

What are the ways in acquiring a free iPad?

In finding research companies who run free iPad promotional offers, be always prudent. Lots of scammers are lurking on misleading internet sites. Their main purpose is to take some money from innocent individuals who entrust their personal bank account or credit card information without being cautious. You should always bear in mind that genuine online market research companies that run promotional offers such as free iPad giveaways, by no means ask for money. To get the promotional product, there is no need for you to pay even a single centavo. You should get the product completely free of charge. Stay away from sites that ask for money or require purchase of any product before giving your free iPad.

When is the time to expect free iPad giveaways?

Product testing usually happens before or just after launching a new product to the market. So basically, it does not last forever. Typically, product giveaways run for a short period of time. So what are you waiting for? Now is the best time to get hold of your free Apple iPad and experience the thrill of its amazing features. Be an iPad tester now!

Best Free iPad Offers - How to Avoid the Fake Offers

If you are interested in getting an Apple iPad then you have probably seen all the free iPad offers and are wondering if they are legitimate and if they are scams. I have found that many of these offers are real and it is easy to spot the scams.

How Does It Work

To get a free iPad you have to qualify by completing a few trial offers or refer a few friends or family members who would also like to get an iPad for free. The nice thing about these offers is that these free trials are usually services or items you use regularly.

Is It a Scam

Free iPad offers are not scams but are effective marketing techniques. Many companies find it easier, cheaper and get better results by offering free iPads than using other advertising methods. By giving out free iPads or other hot items like the iPhone, designer clothing or sporting goods they get qualified leads of people who might be interested in not only trying the free offers but becoming future customers. This type of advertising saves them millions, which in turn more than pays for the iPad.

How To Spot Scammers

The marketing companies that offer free items whether they are iPads, iPhones or clothing get paid a commission for every person who signs up whether they become a customer or not. They are looking for people to try the offers, refer family and friends and most are legitimate. Most of the offers are for consumer items and if they ask for your bank account information, passwords or social security numbers you should stay away and not go any further. The real free offers have you qualify by referring friends and family and participating in some free trial offers.

What If I Don't Want the Free Trial

You are under no obligation to continue the offer once the free trial period is offer and you can cancel at any time. The companies are confident that you will like the product and keep using and are willing to take the chance that you will cancel.

Why Everybody Wins

The companies participating in the free iPad offers are confident that once you experience the trial offers you will become valued customers. If you do happen to enjoy the products that is great and it is a win win for everyone. You get an free iPad, the company gets a new customer. If you don't become a customer it is still a win win for everyone. You get a free iPad while the company saves a lot of money trying to get it's product out to a prospective customer.

FlipBoard Review for the iPad and iPad 2

Would you like to turn your social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook into a visually appealing interactive magazine on your iPad or iPad 2? If you download and install the free App from Apple called FlibBoard, then you can actually turn your social media sites into a visually stimulating virtual magazine on your iPad. FIipBoard works similar to Pulse which is a news feed aggregator. If you must label FlipBoard, I suppose you could label it a social media and Blog aggregator. FlibBoard pulls social media feeds, images, video, and articles into a layout that resembles a magazine or newspaper. The magazine layout even lets you flip the pages as if the content was printed on paper. Installing is a breeze, you just install the FlipBoard just like any other app from the app store, within a minute you can have FlipBoard installed.

Interface and Adding Content
Once FlipBoard is installed and first opened you are greeted by a delightful visual display of media. FlibBoard's opening screen slowly cycles through stories and photos every time you start the app. As you add new content to your selections the home page will randomly add images from your newly selected content. FlipBoard puts the swipe feature on the iPad and iPad 2 to use very well, just swipe the page and you are rewarded with a virtual page that flips to the next, the effect gives the reader a feeling of reading a high quality printed publication. As you flip through the pre-installed content you will come to a box that lets you add your own selected feed sources. You tap on the "Add a Section" box and an easy to navigate search page opens. From the search page you can choose from Social Networks, New Featured Content, and Browse Categories.

You can spend some time here just browsing through all the content. For example; in the Browse Categories section there are (at this time) 13 different categories ranging from Art & Photagrpahy to Shopping & Fashion category. Within each sub category there resides another varying amount of selections. Once you start building your own library of selected content you can easily use your finger to organize each square of newly added sources as you wish. Each square will contain updated pictures of the selected content, making for easy reference when selecting a feed to read.

Social Networking on FlipBoard
Where FlipBoard shines, is the way it integrates social media such as FaceBook, Twitter and Blogs into its magazine style format. When I added my personal Facebook page and opened the panel I immediately knew I liked FlibBoard. The app transformed my old and boring linear style facebook page into a dynamic magazine complete with embedded video, photos and links that were added by all my friends. Each comment is presented in a newspaper type of design that makes each story and comment look amazing.

Blogs work the same way, if not even better in my opinion. If you have a visual orientated blog on your watch list such as a photography blog or travel blog, prepare yourself for an amazing transformation of the content when viewing the blog on FlibBoard. One drawback at this time was that some of my blogs would not show up in the search for your own content bar. This is an issue that FlibBoard is aware of and the company is working on an improved search function. I had to add one of my own personal blogs through my Google Reader page. I have read that it is a RSS feed issue that FlipBoard is currently working on allowing improved search results.

News Feeds
FlibBoard currently has news feed partners such as ABC News, All Things Digital, Bon Appétit, Lonely Planet, SB Nation, SF Chronicle, Washington Post, Salon, The Guardian, CBS News, CNN Breaking News, Fox News, and others. The list of partnered content is gradually growing as FlipBoard gains momentum. When viewing news content you can easily tap the share button and share the story to your desired social network site. FlipBoard brings to the user a library of news feeds that is a delight to read as you are sipping your morning coffee.

The overall performance is fast and sleek, with excellent photo and video integration in the feeds. The only other app that has come close to feeling like a virtual magazine for the iPad or iPad 2 is Pulse which I reviewed earlier. To be fair Pulse had better search functionality when searching for RSS feeds. The overall look and feel of FlipBoard fits my style better than Pulse, I am really enjoying viewing my social media sites on FlibBoard as compared to Pulse.

Should You Install FlipBoard?
FlipBoard strongly delivers as an excellent social media, blog and news feed platform. It gives the reader a great sense of control over their selected content and is the best virtual magazine style app I have used for the iPad and iPad 2. It is easy to understand why FlipBoard is an award winning app. As long as FlipBoard keeps adding content and perfecting the feeds, I highly recommend installing FlipBoard.
